Chino

A chino is a piece of clothing, usually trousers, originally made of twill weave cotton. The pants are popular as casual wear among men and women. The term “chino” comes from the Spanish word for Chinese. This refers to the clothing worn by soldiers during a brief Spanish-American war in the Philippines in the late 1800s. The cotton for the trousers came from China.
